2022 Young Investigator Draft

Please join Uplifting Athletes for the 2022 Young Investigator Draft Presented by CSL Behring!

We are thrilled to announce the 2022 Young Investigator Draft presented by CSL Behring will be back in person at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA on February 5, 2022. Please join us for a one-of-a-kind evening, featuring great food, stadium tours, spectacular live auction, and much more!

The 2022 Young Investigator Draft kicks off at 6:00 pm with a cocktail hour where you can enjoy a full dinner and drinks, take a tour of the stadium, meet current and retired professional athletes, network with our current college student-athlete chapter leaders, and bid on items in our silent auction! At 7:00 pm the draft will begin where we get to honor and celebrate the 2022 Young Investigator Draft Class and the 2021 Rare Disease Champion Team. Then at 8:00 pm join us for dessert and networking to meet others in research, industry, and sport! Dress Code is Business Casual.

Uplifting Athletes has provided more than $440,000 in funding to rare disease researchers through its first four Young Investigator Drafts. We are excited to announce this year's draft class will have a record 9 researchers who will receive funding to advance rare disease research that could play a vital role in developing the potential treatments and cures of the future.

We hope you will join us in celebrating a collaboration between sports and research while recognizing some of the brightest young researchers in the rare disease space!

Attention Patients and Caregivers

We would love for you to join us for the 2022 Young Investigator Draft! Thanks to the generous support of our donors and sponsors we have a limited number of complimentary tickets for those impacted by a rare disease. These tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. In an effort to support our friends and family impacted by rare diseases we are also offering a discount code for VIP tickets. Those discounted VIP tickets will be $45 each. Please email aimei.lund@upliftingathletes.org to receive your complimentary ticket or promo code. If you are unable to join us in person we will also be live-streaming the event for you to attend virtually. If there are any additional accommodations necessary please let us know and we will do all that we can to honor those requests!

Per the City of Philadelphia any establishment that sells food or drinks for consumption onsite will require that everyone who enters has completed their COVID vaccinations. Completing vaccinations means that you have received two doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
